Description of Duties: The Platte County Planning and Zoning Commission consists of eleven members appointed by the County Commission. Members are appointed to represent the eleven Townships having a portion of unincorporated Platte County within their boundary. The Planning and Zoning Commission hears requests for rezoning, new development proposals, and code amendments. The Platte County Planning Commission has jurisdiction in the unincorporated portion of Platte County. Planning and Zoning Commission meetings are open to the public and their agendas are posted on the County website.
