Elected Officeholder: Ron Schieber
My wife, Stephanie and I have lived in Platte County since 1993. We have five daughters, Rachel, Kelsey, Heather, Madisen, and Alysa. Family is very important to us. Although we have very busy schedules and two of the girls are out of the house and off of the family payroll, we still try to gather each Sunday for a family meal. We have a mural in our kitchen that says “Having a place to go is home. Having someone to love is family. Having both is a blessing.” I am truly blessed.
Ron served in the Missouri House of Representatives from 2010 to 2014 and was a member of the Park Hill School Board from 2001 to 2008. He has also been active in leadership and ministry at St Therese Parish in Parkville including youth ministry, the men’s leadership program www.thatmanisyou.org, the Me and My House Initiative, Christ Renews His Church Program, and Men of Valor. I don’t think there is anything more fulfilling than serving our God and this community.
Ron has been in banking and finance since 1985. Over his career, his main focus has been residential and commercial lending but has also been involved in nearly every aspect of banking. In addition to his duties in Platte County, he is currently a Senior Loan Officer for Cornerstone Mortgage, Inc. and has an office in the Burlington Creek Shops on 64th Street west of I29.
Born April 3, 1960, Ron is a 1978 graduate of Maryville R-2 High School. He received his B.S. in Business Administration from Northwest Missouri State University in 1983.
Elected to the Platte County Commissioner in November, 2014, he is looking forward to serving the people of Platte County and making sure Platte County continues to be a great place to live, raise a family, work, and grow old with loved ones.
