Sunday, 11-4 pm -- International Wine Tasting -- Wines from Australia & New Zealand! For our International Tasting this month we will be pouring a Pinot Gris and a Sauvignon Blanc from New Zealand. From Australia we'll pour a Chardonnay, a Cabernet Sauvignon, a Shiraz, a Cabernet/Merlot blend, and (one of our favorites!) a luscious Tawny Port!

Festa Italiana Returns to Zona Rosa
June 1-3
One of Kansas City’s favorite festivals, Festa Italiana, the unique celebration of Italian traditions and Italian-American culture, will once again kick off the summer season at Zona Rosa June 1 - 3. This longtime local ethnic festival draws visitors from across metropolitan Kansas City and beyond. Enjoy an amazing assortment of Italian food favorites, a beer garden, an Italian Car Show, food eating contests and much more. Plus, novelty booths will line the streets including “Lots Of Italiana” shirts, hats, and other memorabilia representing Italian heritage for the whole family. The festival will also feature a designated children’s area with a variety of activities.

2nd Annual
Northland Law Enforcement Appreciation Day

The City of Parkville will host the 2nd Annual Northland Law Enforcement Appreciation Day event on Saturday, May 19, 2018, in English Landing Park in downtown Parkville. The event is free and open to everyone! 
Over 30 law enforcement agencies from the northland will participate in the event that will start at 11:00 a.m. with an honor guard flag parade, including police ATV's, bicycles and bagpipes. The parade will begin on Main and McAfee streets and end at the stage in English Landing Park.
The event will also include the Fallen Officer Memorial, police car row, demonstrations, special operations and tactical vehicles and personnel from both land and water, and many kid-friendly events. Children can participate in a road course in a Parkville power car and driving-aged teenagers and adults can participate in a "Drunk Buster" course simulating impaired driving.

Join the Riverside Area Chamber of Commerce and Platte County Parks for the Tour de Platte - a free bicycle ride designed for bikers of all levels to cycle through the trails, parks and back roads of Platte County. Three route options are available (10, 18 & 34 miles) and begins at  8:00 am at E.H. Young Park in Riverside, MO. Afterward, riders can enjoy a breakfast of baked goods and coffee. T-shirts will be on sale for $6 through the online registration (t-shirt order deadline is May 20th).
