Platte County Public Administrator

Elected Officeholder: Jera Pruitt


Jera Pruitt was elected to the Office of Platte County Public Administrator in November 2016.

The Public Administrator serves as a “Public Guardian and Conservator” for people who are declared incapacitated by the Probate Division of the Circuit Court. There are approximately 200 people in Platte County, Missouri under guardianship and conservatorship with the Public Administrator’s Office. Jera received her National Certified Guardian certificate in September 2016. This shows exemplary work and experience in the field of guardianship. 

Jera received a BS in Psychology from Northwest Missouri State University. Jera has extensive experience in working with individuals with various impairments and understands the importance and responsibility of serving the most vulnerable population in Platte County.

Jera is a lifelong Platte County resident and very involved in the community. Jera currently serves on the Tri-County Board of Directors, serving Platte, Clay, and Ray Counties. Jera also serves on the board for Missouri Guardianship Alliance and is a member of TRI-CIT Council.
