Laurel Hill Cemetery, one
of the oldest Cemeteries
in Platte County, Circa
1940, is one of the few
cemeteries containing burial
sites of African-American
slaves. It also is the resting
place of many pioneers and
settlers of the Weston area.
A most unusual monument
in the cemetery is a metal
one, provided by a Masonic
Order of Weston, MO. for
the final resting place
of Henry T Scholssner, a

monument's appearance so
closely resembles other
stone monuments, that it
is only recognized by touch.
